November 14, 2023 (Minneapolis): At 8:23 p.m., Minneapolis police officers from the 4th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting 3739 Newton Ave. N. At the scene, officers found a house with the front door open. Officers made entry to inspect the residence and found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police officers at the scene administered first aid, but they were unable to revive the injured male.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear at this time.
Officers secured the scene and canvased the area.
Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence, and homicide detectives responded to begin their investigation.
There have been no arrests. MPD is investigating.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the adult male’s name along with the cause and nature of his death.
