November 6, 2023 (Minneapolis): At 4:48 p.m., Minneapolis police officers from the 4th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting and a ShotSpotter activation at 3301 Dupont Ave. N. At the scene, officers found a man who sustained at least one gunshot wound.
Arriving officers performed life-saving measures until relieved by emergency medical services. The injured male was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital by EMS. Despite all efforts, the male did not survive his injuries.
Officers secured the scene and canvased the area.
Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide detectives responded to begin their investigation.
There have been no arrests. MPD is investigating.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the adult male’s name along with the cause and nature of his death.
