Immigration Presentation on Wednesday, March 10
The Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs (OIRA) will present to the Policy and Government Oversight Committee of the Minneapolis City Council on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The committee meeting begins at 1:30 p.m.
The presentation will include an overview of federal immigration developments and local immigrant inclusion initiatives by OIRA Director Michelle Rivero as well as a snapshot of community needs and opportunities by leaders within the following organizations: Black Immigrant Collective, COPAL, Minneapolis Regional Chamber and Release MN8.
The requested council action, racial equity impact analysis, and additional supporting documents will be available in the City of Minneapolis’ Legislative Information Management System (LIMS) as attachments to the committee's agenda. The committee's agenda will be posted 24 hours before the meeting here.
