Justice for George Floyd

We recognize racism is a public health emergency and stand in solidarity with community voices calling for justice for the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor Ahmaud Arbery, and too many others in the BIPOC community that have experienced violence at the hands of police.
Now, more than ever, we witness and want to uplift the work of artists and culture bearers in our community who are speaking out for justice, healing from trauma, and providing space for communities to express grief and anger. We will be mobilizing our resources in support of this effort shortly.
The events of the past week and the COVID health crisis are weighing heavily on us in the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy and no words can adequately express the emotions we are currently feeling. Know that our small staff is working to triage these multiple emergencies and know that we greatly appreciate the offers of help we’ve received. We thank you and hear you and will do our best to support you and continue to address needs within the creative community as we move forward.
