City of Lakes

Dear neighbor,

Last night was seemingly quieter than previous nights, but this remains one of the hardest weeks of history in Minneapolis. As we work to restore order in our city to make space for the next conversation and healing needed in response to George Floyd’s death, it is urgent that I share anything I know that would be helpful in this moment, and to answer what I can. I don’t have that information yet, or I’d share it, and I don’t yet know what that will be. Some parts are below- the curfew and highway closures remain for tonight.

Craig and Patricia Neal, of Center for Purposeful Leadership, have generously offered their meeting facilitation and convening skills for us to have this safe and efficient gathering space. We will be also joined again by Hennepin County Commissioner Marion Greene.

TODAY, Sunday May 31st, from 4pm-5pm

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

I am in constant discussions and meetings with leaders in law enforcement and government across our state and especially in our city. I can share what I know, the majority of this meeting time is to answer questions from participants.

Be kind to each other, be safe, and stay home after 8pm.
