Youth Coordinating Board's Afterschool Survey

This project’s goal is to solve a concern they’ve heard from youth, families and providers in Minneapolis, which is that it’s difficult to find information about all the out-of-school time opportunities available. When surveyed, youth in our area said that the number one reason why they don’t participate in afterschool/summer activities is because they don’t know what’s available. The YCB wants to identify ways to get information about out-of-school time opportunities (both free and fee-based) into the hands of Minneapolis families and we are looking for your feedback on the best ways to set this up.

The provider survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BKK2KH5

Stay Warm Sites
Hennepin County

Warming Site Web Page Continues to Grow!

Several organizations have been able to expand hours this winter to offer alternatives to being outside. Recently, Youthlink and the Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center (MIWRC) added overnight hours.

You can visit www.hennepin.us/staywarm to view different warming site options. Here you will find a list of several organizations, ranging from places you can get out of the cold like libraries and public buildings, to service rich environments like the adult and youth opportunity centers. Each site operates a little differently, so it is important to reach out in advanced if there is specific need for which you are looking to meet
