Update on Neighborhoods 2020 timeline

Neighborhood stakeholders,

The Neighborhoods 2020 timeline has changed. The City Council requested to have the Racial Equity Analysis presented to the Committee of the Whole (CoW) instead of the PECE committee.  This request was made to assure that all council members had the opportunity to hear the presentation and ask questions as we move through this process. The CoW meeting will be on February 12th, at 1:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers. This change of venue allows for the full City Council to see the presentation and results in the timeline being adjusted as follows:

  • February 24: Program Guidelines released for public comment, public comment period begins
  • April 9: Public comment period ends
  • May 4: Final guidelines and public comment(s) presented to PECE committee
  • May 15: City Council presentation and vote

On Saturday February 1, at the Community Connections Conference, CURA and NCR will present on the Racial Equity Analysis and discuss the major components of the draft guidelines.

If you have not registered for the Community Connections Conference please go to minneapolismn.gov/ncr. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact C. Terrance Anderson  (CURA) or Steven Gallagher (NCR).
