This summer, Homegrown Minneapolis invited members and leaders of community gardens, market gardens or urban farms in the city to complete a brief, 10-minute Minneapolis Urban Agriculture Survey. The survey is an effort to quantify the total number of community gardens, market gardens and urban farms in the city, better understand emerging trends of urban agriculture, provide the community with relevant and useful information regarding urban agriculture, continue advocating for programs and city-wide policies supporting urban agriculture and respond where possible to reported needs of gardeners and farmers in Minneapolis.  Homegrown Minneapolis seeks to expand upon the work of Gardening Matters, a local non-profit supporting community gardens that closed their doors in early 2019.
