July is Health Care Month!

Health Care Month

For a second year, City of Minneapolis Employment and Training has partnered with community-based organizations and health care employers and providers to build community awareness around careers in the health care field, as well as individual and family wellness during July Health Care Careers month.

During the month of July and into early August, activities centered at the Cedar Riverside Opportunity Center and 800 West Broadway will highlight the many occupations in health care. New health care career training opportunities will be available through Minneapolis College and community-based partners, including two short term training opportunities during the month. And there will be a Health Care Pathways Expo and Career Fair on Wednesday, July 31 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Key partners include: City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County Library, NorthPoint Health & Wellness, Minneapolis Public Schools, Minneapolis College and HealthForce Minnesota.

Minneapolis Health Hire Partners: Emerge Community Development, HIRED, CAPI, East Side Neighborhood Services, Project for Pride in Living and International Institute Minnesota.
