Dear Neighbors,

Primary Election Day is next Tuesday, August 14th!

Studies show that making a plan to vote is one of the best ways to ensure you remember to cast your vote and so I thought I would pull together some information to make that planning process a little less time consuming.

Register to Vote:

In Minnesota you can register in person on Election Day. We also have online voter registration which means you could be registered to vote in less time than it takes to read this message.

Voting on Election Day:

  • Polls open at 7am and close at 8pm. If you're in line by 8pm your polling location must allow you to vote!
  • Not sure where to vote? The MN Secretary of State can help- just click here.

Voting before Election Day:

If you requested an absentee ballot make sure you send it back ASAP. If you already have sent it back, you can check here to track it.

Didn't get your absentee ballot request in? You can still vote early in person! Just head to the Minneapolis Early Vote Center (217 3rd Street South):

  • Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Saturday, August 11 from 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Monday, August 13 from 8:00am - 5:00pm

Know What's on Your Ballot:

Depending on which part of the city you live in and if you plan to vote in the Democratic or Republican primary, your ballot will be different.

Yours in service,

Linea
