Neighborhoods 2020

Work Group Members Announced

On July 5, 2018 a selection committee reviewed applications and selected representatives for the Neighborhoods 2020 work groups. With the exception of mayoral and City Council appointees, which are currently pending, you can now view the names and neighborhoods of each work group's members on NCR's Neighborhoods 2020 web page at Minneapolismn.gov/ncr/2020

Over the next few months, the teams will develop in-depth policy on the topics of:

  1. Funding and program guidelines.
  2. Governance.
  3. The City’s community engagement policy.

Please note that the governance work group is still seeking a cultural community representative. You can apply to fill this remaining seat at Minneapolismn.gov/ncr/2020.

The forty-nine current group members will go through an orientation at one of two sessions on July 24 and July 26. During the first week of August all three work groups will start their endeavors, meeting through the month of October on a bi-weekly basis.

During this time, NCR will post policy questions from the work groups on its website and through the Neighborhoods 2020 mailing list for public input. The work groups will also conduct meetings across the City to receive public comment. Read more...
