Exhibit at the Community Connections Conference!
NCR invites you to participate in the 7th annual Community Connections Conference on Saturday, February 10, 2018 as an exhibitor! The conference will display and build collaborations between neighborhoods, cultural communities, residents and the City. Exhibitors have until January 5, 2018 to sign up.
Exhibitors will receive complimentary breakfast, lunch and beverages, and an exhibitor table with a table skirt and two chairs. For official City-recognized neighborhood organizations, City departments and small nonprofits there is no charge to exhibit. Exhibit space for public agencies outside the City of Minneapolis, large nonprofits and businesses is $100.

On November 8, the Seward Neighborhood received a Great Place award from the American Planning Association (APA) during the Seward Neighborhood Group annual meeting. The Great Places awards recognize streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces in the United States demonstrating exceptional character, quality, and planning—attributes that enrich communities, facilitate economic growth, and inspire others around the country.
According to the APA website, "Seward is a testament to the value of diversity when it comes to community building, economic resilience, and neighborhood stewardship. As it says in the neighborhood's Affirmative Inclusion Statement: 'All are welcome here.'"

NCR in partnership with Lao Assistance Center and the
Hawthorne Neighborhood Council are excited to re-launch the Southeast Asian
Soccer-Engagement Program! This program has helped establish a strong
partnership between North Minneapolis neighborhood organizations and the
Southeast Asian community of Cambodia, Hmong, Lao, Vietnamese and Karen
residents.
A weekly gathering for the Southeast Asian community strengthens
community connections and provides a networking opportunity with neighborhood
organizations and city departments. Neighborhood organizations and city departments are recognized in
all promotional materials, acknowledged at the events, have the opportunity to
table and financially support the program.

The Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee, along with the City, Metro Transit and the Mall of America, announced the “Know Before You Go” initiative that provides travel tips and information for residents and visitors to make travel plans during the 10-day Super Bowl festival.
The guide includes recommended routes to downtown Minneapolis, user-friendly maps with information about road closures, public transportation options and instructions on how to purchase convenient parking.
