More Ways You can Support Puerto Rico

The City Council is urging residents to support communities affected by natural disasters in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Mexico, Texas, Florida and elsewhere. On October 20, the City Council voted unanimously in favor of the resolution, found here, which also calls on residents to support relief efforts.

Local efforts to support Puerto Rican Communities in the Recovery from Hurricane Maria include University of Minnesota doctors, led by Dr Miguel Fiol, traveling to Puerto Rico and bringing medical supplies; you can donate to the gofundme here; donations to The Coalición de Boricuas en Minnesota (choose “Puerto Rico Hurricane Support Relief in the “select your event” box and write ¨Coalicion de Boricuas en Minnesota ¨in the comment box); and donations to  El Fondo Boricua.
