Anthem Health Insurance: Anthem is MCHCP’s medical plan administrator for active state employees and non-Medicare retirees. HSA and PPO plans are available, and you have access to providers through the Anthem networks. With Anthem, you have coverage throughout the entire state and across the nation. Dental Insurance: Comprehensive dental benefits include diagnostic and preventive services, basic restorative services, and major restorative services through a nationwide network of participating providers. Term Life Insurance: Eligible team members can increase their coverage (in increments of $10,000) up to $20,000 without proving insurability, provided their coverage amount does not exceed six times their annual salary of $800,000. Please note, this review period does not apply to spouse and child coverage. If eligible team members wish to maintain their current level of coverage, no action is required. Universal Life Insurance: A universal life plan builds fund value while providing flexible life insurance coverage to meet your changing needs. Premium payments are adjustable, as is the amount of insurance coverage you select. Fund value accumulations are tax-deferred and earn a competitive rate of interest. MO CAFÉ: A Cafeteria Plan allows you to deduct funds from your paycheck before they are taxed and use the funds to pay for state-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance premiums, as well as put them into a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). There are three FSA options you can enroll for – a general health care FSA, an HSA-compatible limited purpose FSA, and a dependent day care FSA. When you enroll in an FSA, you will estimate the amount of qualifying expenses you will have during the plan year. You have that amount deducted from your paychecks in equal amounts throughout the year. Though your actual salary remains the same, your taxable salary as reported to the government is reduced by the amount you put into your FSA. As you incur eligible expenses throughout the plan year, you submit claims for reimbursement of your expenses. Take a look at all of the eligible expenses you can use your pre-tax funds for!
