Don’t Let Sickness Ruin Your Holiday Plans!
Unexpected illness doesn’t have to slow you down this holiday season! Don’t worry about changing your travel plans or complicating your holiday schedule with in-person doctor’s appointments. Instead, you can receive virtual care anywhere within a matter of minutes with Anthem’s Sydney Health App. The app is available for use by all insured OA team members and covered dependents – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – including major holidays.
Getting started is easy! All you need to do is follow these steps:

1. Download Anthem’s Sydney app to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Choose “Employer, Individual, Medicare, and Student” as your account type.
- Choose the “Not signed up?” button (located below the sign-in button) to create your account. You will be prompted to enter information from your insurance ID card.

2. Select "CARE" |
|
|
3. Select "Video Visit" |
|
|
4. Select "Set Up New Visit" and then follow the prompts. |
MCHCP Election Reminder
For team members enrolled in the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP), you are able to participate in the MCHCP’s 2023 Board of Trustees Election. You can access the election information using your myMCHCP account. At the top of the home page, click the brown header bar that reads “Vote Now for MCHCP Board of Trustees.” You will also find additional information on the candidates that represent our state team members.
Voting ends at midnight CT on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023.

Compensation Time Policy Notice: For many OA team members, the holiday season comes with an increased likelihood of receiving compensatory time, since certain positions are unable to follow the standard holiday schedule, due to business needs. Whenever compensatory time is awarded, it is the responsibility of the team member and their supervisor to ensure that the time is used in accordance with OA Policy B-2. This policy states that comp time must be used before annual leave, except in cases when doing so would result in the loss of annual leave. Since the leave sweep has passed, there is no immediate threat of lost leave, so any leave being taken in the next few months should be deducted from comp time before annual leave balances.
Supervisors – you must be aware of this policy when approving leave requests. Before you approve annual leave requests or timesheets, make sure that leave balances are being used properly.
Tax Compliance: Per OA Policy B-38, all team members must file state income tax returns and pay all state income tax as a condition of continued employment. Toward the end of each calendar year, the Department of Revenue shares the names of team members who have not paid their Missouri income tax. Human Resources contacts team members who are in violation. Any team member notified, has 45 days to provide HR with a tax compliance letter from the Department of Revenue. Failure to do so will result in dismissal.
