Vaccine Information for OA Team Members Eligible in Phase 1B-Tier 3

Missouri Office of Administration

Team,

This message provides a progress update and other important information about the statewide COVID-19 vaccination effort. We know that many of you are eager to receive the vaccine. Everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one, it is just a matter of when. Because supply remains limited across the nation, there is a phased approach.

Based on your role within the department, you are listed under Phase 1B - Tier 3. Currently, Missouri is vaccinating people in Phase 1A (medical responders), Phase 1B - Tier 1 (non-medical emergency responders) and Phase 1B - Tier 2 (at-risk population). A complete list of the groups included in each phase and tier is available at: https://covidvaccine.mo.gov/info-graphic-alt/vaccine-availability.html.

If you are considered to be at-risk (over the age of 65 or with a serious health condition), please do not wait for a state-sponsored event. If you have not already done so, you should contact your healthcare provider or local public health agency to begin the vaccination process.

Phase 1B - Tier 3 is the next group to become eligible, but has NOT yet been activated. Governor Parson announced yesterday that on Monday, March 15, 2021, Tier 3 will be activated. Starting on March 15, you will be eligible for the vaccine. When Tier 3 becomes eligible to receive the vaccine, our HR team will send you information about available vaccination events, along with details on how to register for your vaccination.

Please visit MOstopsCOVID.com for helpful information resources about the vaccine, vaccination events and more. A breakdown of the vaccination phases and your eligibility can be found here. For other questions or concerns, please email HRSC@oa.mo.gov or call 573-751-2799

For colleagues in Phase 2, there will be an email informing them of their vaccine eligibility at a later date.

Thank you all for your patience through this process and especially for the important work you do.

Sincerely,

Commissioner Sarah Steelman

Office of Administration
