Missouri Department of Social Services Announces Funding to Support Pregnancy Resource Centers and Diaper Banks
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Today, the Missouri Department of Social Services - Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (DSS-OWCI) announced a new bidding opportunity for up to $14,135 per qualifying organization with a goal to strengthen family well-being and increase support for Missouri parents and caregivers.
This opportunity is available for Maternity Homes, Diaper Banks, and Pregnancy Resource Centers to expand their capacity and increase access to essential services for families across the state. This initiative reflects DSS’s ongoing commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes by supporting community-based organizations that provide critical resources such as prenatal care referrals, parenting education, diapers, formula, and other family support services.
“Maternity Homes, Diaper Banks, and Pregnancy Resource Centers provide services that are vital supports for many Missouri families,” said Jess Bax, DSS Director. “This funding will help ensure that more parents and caregivers have access to the support they need during the most important moments in their lives.”
Organizations are invited to apply, with the possibility of receiving additional funding if not all eligible agencies submit their applications. For more information regarding this funding opportunity and to submit a bid, please visit the Department’s Bidding Opportunity webpage using Solicitation number SDA549262.
