Odis Robinson: Improving His Future

Odis entered the SkillUP program directly after his release from Missouri Department of Corrections. Odis was interested in getting help and going to school to improve his future. He was very excited to get to work on his plan to put his past behind him, learn from it and move on towards the future he wanted.

Odis enrolled in SkillUP and started barber school at LUXX Beauty and Barber Institute. SkillUP helped Odis get all the proper tools he needed for school. Odis has completed 5 of his 7 months of barber school and he already has a job lined up when he finishes school and passes his license test.

Odis is very excited about his future and looking forward to starting a career in an occupation he enjoys. "Just real appreciative that I got the help I did when I needed it. SkillUP helped with the money part and Mrs. Debra (owner of LUXX0 and her husband have been great giving me this chance."
