Missouri House Considers FY 2025 Appropriation Bills on Floor
This week, the House perfected and third read HBs 2002-2013, 2015, and 2017-2020. During consideration of HB 2003, House Budget Chairman Cody Smith (R-Carthage) introduced three amendments to the bill, which the body adopted. Rep. Del Taylor (D- St. Louis) and Rep. Greg Sharpe (R- Ewing) offered amendments to HB 2003 that were also adopted. During perfection of HB 2020, Rep. Cody Smith introduced multiple amendments regarding higher education and workforce development, all of which were adopted. On Thursday, the House third read the appropriation bills, and the Senate first read them the same day. The deadline for the legislature to pass the appropriation bills is Friday, May 10.
Other Updates:
On Wednesday, the House perfected HB 2310. Sponsored by Representative Cameron Parker (R-Campbell), HB 2310modifies the “Higher Education Core Curriculum Transfer Act.” The bill was referred to Fiscal Review on Thursday.
