Jill Carter (R-Granby), SCR 22 modifies the statewide mission of Missouri Southern State University. The Senate Emerging Issues Committee, chaired by Sen. Justin Brown (R-Rolla), heard SB 849. Sponsored by Sen. Justin Brown, SB 849 establishes tax credits for certain engineering degrees.
On February 7, the House Higher Education Committee, chaired by Rep. Brenda Shields (R- St. Joseph), heard HB 2313. Sponsored by Rep. Donnie Brown (R-New Madrid), HB 2313 establishes the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Grant program for Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program award recipients. The committee voted HCS for HB 1569 do pass and HB 2415 do pass.

- HB 2415 requires in-state public educational institutions to grant undergraduate course credit for students who score 4 or higher on international baccalaureate examinations.
