On January 23, the House General Laws Committee, chaired by Rep. Alex Riley (R-Springfield), heard HB 2310. Sponsored by Rep. Cameron Parker (R-Campbell), HB 2310 modifies the “Higher Education Core Curriculum Transfer Act.”
On January 24, the House Higher Education Committee, chaired by Rep. Brenda Shields (R-St. Joseph), heard HBs 1578, 2051, and 2415. HBs 1578 (Rep. Maggie Nurrenbern, D-Kansas City), 2051 (Rep. Kemp Strickler, D-Lee's Summit), and 2415 (Rep. Chris Brown, R-Kansas City) require in-state public educational institutions to grant undergraduate course credit for students who score 4 or higher on international baccalaureate examinations.
