govdelivery

The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), is organizing a Renewable Energy Integration Trade Mission to Canada to connect U.S. exporters to developing opportunities as Canada boosts its generating capacity to 170 GW (up 35 GW) by 2035.

This Renewable Energy Integration Trade Mission is designed for U.S. exporters with technologies and applications related to:

  • Solar, wind, and hydro power generation
  • Grid modernization and Smart Grid deployment
  • Utility-scale and distributed energy resources

Trade Mission Features:

This mission will provide first-hand market exposure and access to government policy makers, key private-sector industry contacts, and potential partners.

  • Gain market intelligence from briefings by industry experts at the U.S. Consulates General in Toronto and Calgary
  • Meet privately with key government and utility leaders to learn their development goals
  • Develop relationships with potential partners in pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments
  • Network and share best practices with industry players and local trade associations at receptions hosted by U.S. Consuls General

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to policy and regulatory discussions aimed at advancing U.S. sector interests, and visit some of Canada’s critical energy infrastructure sites under development.

Who Should Apply: All U.S companies who are part of the industry supply chain are encouraged to apply: companies new to the Canadian market will gain support as they identify a market entry strategy and key business partners while companies already active in the market will have the chance to build new connections with industry and government leaders.
