Special Enrollment Period Ends Next Week

If you are currently uninsured, there is still time to get 2020 private health coverage. MNsure’s special enrollment period (SEP) in response to the coronavirus health emergency goes through Tuesday, April 21.

Coverage for Minnesotans who enroll through this SEP will have a retroactive start date of April 1.

• Call the MNsure Contact Center at 651-539-2099 (855-366-7873 outside the Twin Cities). Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.

If you lost or are losing health insurance through your employer, you may also be eligible for a special enrollment period through MNsure.

If you qualify for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, or are a member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, you can enroll through MNsure at any time of the year.

If you are a currently enrolled customer, you cannot use this special enrollment period to change plans. You must have a qualifying life event.
