St. Louis County Board Veterans Service Office moving its Duluth office
The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office in Duluth is moving to a new location. Beginning Monday, June 25, the Veterans Service Office will open in the Village Mall Office Building, 4815 Burning Tree Road, Suite 100, in Duluth.
Due to the move, the Duluth office will be closed June 21 and 22. During those days, anyone needing to contact a Veterans Service Officer should call the Hibbing office at (218) 262-6090.
The Veterans Service Office in Duluth had been located on Superior Street for almost 10 years. However the building in which it was located recently sold, prompting the move. The new location offers more space and easy access, including free parking. It's also right on the DTA bus line.
"We are excited to welcome veterans and their family members into our new office," said Sherry Rodriguez, St. Louis County Veterans Service Officer. "It's worth repeating to all veterans, now in our new location - come and see us, even if you've been denied benefits in the past. Laws and eligibility requirements changes. But we are as committed as ever to ensure you get the benefits you've earned for serving our country."
St. Louis County is home to more than 18,000 veterans, more than nine percent of the population. In addition to Duluth, the county operates Veterans Service Offices in Hibbing, Virginia and Ely.
