St. Louis County Sheriff's Office News Release

Incident Date: 2/2/2018

Incident Time:  11:00PM

Incident Location: Strand Rd and Tischer Rd. N.      Lakewood Township

Name: Ingemar Lindstrom

Age: 38

Address: Lakewood Township

Incident Summary:

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian that occurred last Friday evening, February 2, 2018. Ingmar Lindstrom was walking with another party on N. Tischer Rd near the area of Strand Rd at approximately 11:00 PM. Both pedestrians were wearing reflective, hi-visibility clothing.  Lindstrom was struck by a vehicle suffering serious bruising and abrasions, but thankfully no broken bones.

The vehicle driver that struck Lindstrom did not stop, but continued northbound on N. Tischer Road.  Lindstrom and his companion were unable to get a good description of the vehicle. However, it has been determined that the vehicle is a 2002 or 2003 Ford.  The model is likely a Ford "Focus" sedan. At this time we do not have a color description.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office believes the driver of the vehicle is likely a resident or frequent visitor to the Lakewood Township area and we asking for the public's help in identifying this vehicle.  The vehicle sustained damage to its front passenger side headlight and marker light assembly.  It will also be missing the passenger side mirror assembly.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 911 or the St. Louis County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigative Division  at 218-336-4350.
