Public Works crews responding to storm damage in Island Lake area

Heavy winds have knocked down numerous trees and branches, along with power lines, particularly in the areas of Island Lake and Boulder Lake. St. Louis County Public Works crews are out assessing damage and removing debris from county roads when possible.

Downed power lines remain a concern, especially after dark when they may be more difficult to see. Public Works will be working in cooperation with the power companies to move downed trees once it is safe to do so.

Anyone who encounters unsafe road conditions is asked to call 911.
