Incident Summary:

At approximately 2:00 pm a fire was reported in a remote area in the Pike River in Embarrass MN. Fire personal from Embarrass and the surrounding areas were paged to respond. The Fire which was driven by extremely dry conditions and strong winds forced the evacuation of several homes in the area. The fire was contained and residents were allowed to return to their homes by 8:00pm. Fire crews remain on scene for mop up operation. The fire in under investigation by the St Louis County Sheriff Office and the MN DNR. No structures were lost in the fire.
