Lunch prices will be increasing for next year

The school board approved an increase in lunch prices for the coming school year. As a participant in the National School Lunch Program, the district is required to increase its average meal prices by a minimum of ten cents for the 2019-2020 school year.

Lunch prices will be increasing at the following levels:

  • Elementary student lunches by fifteen cents.
  • Middle school student lunches by five cents.
  • High school student lunches by ten cents.

Ponies well represented in state championship competition

Congrats to golfer Brock Winter for winning the state championship! (Photo courtesy of Pioneer Press). Winter, who recorded a two-day score of 1-under-par 143, was the only player to finish the tournament under par. It's the first boys golf title for the Ponies. The team finished 8th overall. The girls golf team placed 5th.

The girls softball team finished second in state. The defending champion Ponies rallied late but fell to Maple Grove 3-2 in the championship game. Watch highlights.

The state champion boys baseball team is playing in the championship game for the second year in a row. Watch for updates on our Facebook page.

Stillwater thespians take the stage for Spotlight Showcase

Stillwater thespians performed on stage at the Hennepin Theatre Trust's Spotlight Showcase in Minneapolis on June 11. This professionally produced and choreographed evening is designed to highlight the amazing talent that exists in Minnesota high school musical theatre programs.

The Stillwater Area High School musical “Les Miserable” earned 25 honors in the Spotlight Awards, which are known as the Tony’s of Minnesota high school musical theatre.

Wages are increasing! Come join our team!

adventure club

Looking for a fun job working with some pretty incredible Stillwater area students? Join our Adventure Club staff! The school board approved a wage increase for employees who staff the before and after school child care program. The increase makes the pay more competitive, and will help the district find quality people to staff this very in-demand program for families. We'll begin hiring for the coming school year in July. Watch our website for job posting.

The fees for Adventure Club cover the cost of staff, so it is a self-sustaining program. Funding for the wage increase comes from the Community Services budget, which is separate from the district’s general fund and doesn’t compete for funding with teachers or other support staff.
