Let’s Talk: Promoting Positive Mental Health and Preventing Substance Use

May 12-18 marks National Prevention Week. Complementing Mental Health Awareness Month, National Prevention Week is an annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, mental health and/or substance use disorders. Now, more than ever, there is recognition that mental health and substance use disorders are legitimate health conditions which often co-occur.

Click here for more information about the connection between mental health and substance use, and the importance of treating these issues with the same level of compassion, concern, and tenacity that we would any health issue.
