Small businesses weigh in on how to improve our schools

Small business owners and managers may know better than most what today’s young people are capable of accomplishing. With the vast majority of their employees made up of high school students and recent graduates, local businesses are among the first to see what our students are all about. Which is exactly why district leaders reached out to small businesses to learn what might be done to improve our public schools.

Pony selected in NHL draft

Congrats to 2017 grad Noah Cates who was selected #137 in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft by the Philadelphia Flyers! The former Ponies winger will play hockey for the University of Minnesota Duluth this fall. Read more.

School board meeting notices

The school board will hold a closed session at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Central Services to discuss properties identified as Parcel ID, Parcel ID and Parcel ID pursuant to Minnesota Statute §13D.05 Subd. 3. (3) to develop or consider offers or counteroffers for the purchase or sale of real or personal property. The school board will also hold a retreat to work on board governance and goals for the 2017‐2018 school year. The retreat will begin at 8 a.m. on July 27 and will take place at Central Services. Read the official notice.
