ROCHESTER, MN - General Manager Steven J. Schmidt announced today that Riverside Concerts received an important grant from Mayo Clinic to support its 2018 programming. The grant supports the Artist-in-the-Schools residency program and supports the World Music Series

"Experiencing and engaging with music has been fundamental to all societies across the ages. According to a recent study, people who go to concerts on a regular basis are more content and generally happier with their lives than those who do not. The study also emphasized the importance of the communal element of concert-going, where one feels joy among others feeling joy, essentially the best part of being human. An investment in these communal musical experiences, is an investment in the overall health of our community. We thank the Mayo Clinic for their ongoing support of our organization, our work, and our constituents." said Riverside Concerts' General Manager, Steven Schmidt.
