Phillips Homicide: Search underway for Hoffman in Prior Lake

[Saint Paul, MN]: On Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at approximately 9:30 am, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office reports that a search is currently underway for Lyle Marvin “Ty” Hoffman in Prior Lake, Minnesota. A possible sighting of Ty Hoffman was reported and various law enforcement agencies have responded to search the area.

Due to the volatile nature of this situation, media organizations are asked to NOT ENTER the search area. The Mdewakanton Sioux Community has invited media organizations to stage at the Little Six Casino parking lot, 2354 Sioux Trail Northwest, Prior Lake, Minnesota. Media organizations are asked to respect the private property of the Mdewakanton Sioux Community.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, Scott County Sheriff’s Office, and Prior Lake Police Department will be providing media briefings at the staging area when additional information is available.
