Metro Square is now Ramsey County Government Center

On March 1, Metro Square officially became known as the Ramsey County Government Center.

Located at 121 7th Place E. in Saint Paul, the building has long been a central place for residents to access county services and partner resources. The updated name reflects how the space has evolved over time. It is now a service-focused hub designed to make it easier for our residents to find support, connect with programs and navigate county services.

Services available for residents

Residents can continue visiting Ramsey County Government Center to access a wide range of services:

  • Ramsey County Service Center – Saint Paul: The Service Center provides in-person assistance and connections to essential county programs.
  • CareerForce in Saint Paul: CareerForce offers employment and career support services.
  • Community Corrections: Community Corrections services promote accountability and stability for adults serving probation in Ramsey County.

Together, these services make the Ramsey County Government Center a key location. One where residents can access many resources in one centralized space.

Ramsey County is committed to delivering accessible, resident-centered services. Clearer naming, improved navigation, and modernized public spaces help make that possible. These changes help residents more easily understand where to find county services. They also create a more intuitive experience when engaging with county government.

Review your flood insurance

Flooding is the nation's number one natural disaster. Remember to “turn around, don't drown.” Six inches of fast-moving water can knock over an adult. Twelve inches can carry away a car, and 18–24 inches can sweep away SUVs, vans and trucks. Learn more about flood safety in Minnesota.

March is also a good time to review your flood insurance. Did you know? There's a 30-day wait period before flood insurance policies go into effect. Homeowners, renters and businesses are encouraged to review their current insurance policies and consider adding flood coverage. Learn to prepare for an emergency at RamseyCountyMN.gov/Floods.
