Free COVID-19 testing at Roy Wilkins Auditorium
The state of Minnesota has multiple free COVID-19 Saliva Community Testing Sites around Minnesota, including saliva testing at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in Saint Paul.
Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Testing results provided by Vault Health via email or by phone within 24-48 hours. Appointments can be made through the Vault Health registration site. Walk-ins are also accepted.
Testing is available to anyone, including those who have no symptoms. Participants will be asked for their health insurance information so the state can bill their insurance company on their behalf, but there will be no charge to residents. If a person is uninsured or for any reason insurance doesn’t cover some or all of the cost, the state will cover the difference so testing remains completely free to everyone.

Third doses of COVID-19 vaccine recommended for some immunocompromised people
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a third dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine for a specific group of people with moderately to severely compromised immune systems (active treatment for cancer, solid organ transplant, advanced or untreated HIV infection, active treatment with immune suppression, primary immune deficiency disease or stem cell transplant). The third dose should be from the same manufacturer as the first two and will increase the individual’s primary immune response to vaccination.
- At this time, Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public health is only providing first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
- Individuals who are part of this identified group are encouraged to contact their health care provider to obtain their third dose.
