Gov. Walz adjusts COVID-19 mitigation measures
As Minnesota continues to make progress with vaccinations and slowing the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Tim Walz has announced changes to allow gatherings with more friends and loved ones, and increased numbers allowed at businesses and venues. All changes were effective March 15, unless otherwise noted below.
Community vaccination program expands sites
The state of Minnesota continues to schedule no-cost appointments at its community vaccination sites, with more locations added. If you signed up for pre-registration in the past, have not yet been selected and are currently eligible, you will continue to have the opportunity to be chosen to make an appointment for a vaccine at one of the community vaccination sites.
Regular testing for kids and families recommended
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) recommends all school-age youth returning to school, sports or extracurricular activities, and their families, get tested every two weeks through the end of the school year. People who travel during spring break are also recommended to be tested for COVID-19.
