Free home meal delivery available for people impacted by COVID-19
A new home meal delivery program is available for Ramsey County residents who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and are challenged to leave their homes. Five community partners have been selected to provide healthy home-delivered meals to qualifying residents free of charge. Meal options include medically-tailored, vegetarian, culturally-specific and Halal-only meals.
Each community partner will screen applicants directly based on common county-established criteria – multiple languages are available from each partner. Applicants will be required to provide regular information about their participation in the program through interviews and surveys with county staff.
Up to $1.9 million in meals will be provided based on demand throughout 2020. Home meal delivery is one of several programs funded by Ramsey County Investment and Support Efforts through the federal CARES Act.
A Mask for Everyone: Donate or request a free cloth mask
A new initiative – A Mask for Everyone – is underway to ensure that individuals and families have access to cloth face masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Led by the county’s COVID-19 Racial Equity and Community Engagement Response Team the program will prioritize distributing homemade cloth masks to racially, ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
Individuals and families in Ramsey County that are in need of masks can request a free mask through the program. Community groups and small businesses serving racially, ethnically and culturally diverse communities can also request masks to distribute to residents, employees and customers.
Mask donations are currently being accepted to help fulfill as many mask requests as possible. Community members can donate new, unused masks by mail or at several sites across the county.

Ready Together - Get Involved
As our community re-opens, consumer confidence is critical, and now more than ever, safety is a top concern.
Minnesota has been taking precautions and working diligently to slow the spread of COVID-19 and we want to make sure that continues. That’s why local businesses, shops, attractions, hotels, restaurants and more throughout the city are collaborating on a commitment to cleanliness and safety for reopening. Saint Paul is opening carefully to help protect residents and visitors.
By referencing CDC guidance, Executive Orders from Governor Walz and Mayor Carter, and collaborating with partners throughout Saint Paul, we have created a safety pledge for reopening businesses. The pledge is not regulatory or punitive and is for businesses to voluntarily adopt.
