Park and picnic reservations
Park shelter and pavilion rentals are currently open. Facility types and group size limits are aligned with current Minnesota Stay Safe guidelines. Reservations can be made by calling 651-748-2500.
Arena reopening
TCO Sports Garden will reopen June 14 and Aldrich arena will reopen on June 22. Highland and Pleasant arenas will reopen June 15 for hockey, figure skating and dry floor programming. Groups are limited to 10 people including coaches and instructors. Spectators are not allowed. Reservations can be made by calling 651-748-2500 or by emailing Parks & Recreation.
Golf pro shops reopening
Pro shops have reopened at limited capacity. Food and beverage sales are available. Junior golf camps at The Ponds at Battle Creek have been canceled. Keller Golf Course junior golf camps will run on a modified schedule.
Tamarack Nature Center day camps and programs
Summer 2020 day camps have been canceled. After careful consideration, we determined that programs cannot be modified to consistently ensure social distancing. Staff has contacted registrants to issue refunds. In-person programs are canceled through at least August 31. Tamarack continues to offer free virtual nature programs.

Stay Safe MN phase three in effect
The third phase of Stay Safe MN allows additional businesses to reopen and strongly recommends customers and employees wear masks and adhere to appropriate social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Occupancy rates will be limited based on risk, with an overall occupancy maximum of 250 people. Guidance for phase three includes:
- Indoor social gatherings can take place with 10 people or less; outdoor social gatherings can take place with 25 people or less.
- Restaurants can begin offering indoor dining at no more than 50% capacity while maintaining social distancing and requiring reservations.
- Personal services, such as salons, tattoo parlors, and barbershops, may increase occupancy rates to 50% while requiring reservations.
- Places of worship can increase occupancy rates to 50%.
- Gyms, personal fitness and yoga studios, and martial arts can open at 25% capacity.
- Indoor entertainment venues, such as theaters and concert halls, can open at 25% capacity.
- Recreational indoor entertainment venues, such as bowling alleys, arcades, and museums can open at 25% capacity.
- Outdoor entertainment venues, such as sporting events, concerts, and theaters can open at 25% capacity.

Community testing continues
COVID-19 testing for people living in the communities impacted by recent large gatherings in the Twin Cities will continue for the next two weeks. The free testing is organized by the Minnesota Department of Health, no insurance is required, and you do not have to have symptoms to be tested.
In Saint Paul, drive-through and walk-in testing is being offered in partnership with the city of Saint Paul and Ramsey County at:

Talking about race and anti-racism with children
Talking with children about the complex realities of race, racial identity and racism can be difficult. Ramsey County Library staff have selected books that will help parents and caregivers address current events.
Apply for Small Business Relief grant by June 12
Ramsey County is providing emergency assistance to small local businesses adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications are being accepted for the Small Business Relief Fund, providing grants of $7,500 to small businesses most in need of support.
The first round of awards, open through June 12, includes 670 grants being awarded to help businesses with 20 or fewer employees pay for critical expenses such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities and costs associated with reopening. Subsequent grant periods will be announced in the weeks ahead.
Funding for the Small Business Relief Fund is provided through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The Relief Fund will be administered by the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers’ Open to Business program.

Coalition matches small businesses to community resources; seeks private sector support
A broad alliance of Twin Cities counties, chambers of commerce, community development agencies and other partners are building a local support network to help small businesses survive and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges facing our small business community.
The Business4Business Minneapolis-Saint Paul (B4B MSP) coalition will connect small businesses with local resources from public agencies and private sector partners, including technical and financial assistance to provide immediate relief.
The greater Minneapolis-Saint Paul region is home to private industry leaders and strong public sector partners that have a demonstrated history of working together to support community and economic vitality. Through these partnerships, B4B MSP will be able to support our resilient small business community through unprecedented challenges and continue to drive inclusive economic growth that strengthens our communities.
