Property tax deadline extended to July 15 for qualifying taxpayers
The deadline for payment of first-half property taxes for qualifying Ramsey County property owners who are financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis has been extended from May 15 to July 15, 2020.
Qualifying properties include:
- Non-escrowed homesteads.
- Non-escrowed small businesses with annual taxes less than or equal to $50,000.
- Non-escrowed residential non-homesteads of one to three units with annual taxes less than or equal to $20,000.

SOS sexual violence services available by phone
SOS sexual violence services continue to be available 24/7 by phone at 651-266-1000. All face-to-face services have been replaced by phone services and precautions will be taken to ensure client safety.

County golf courses reopening
Ramsey County golf courses are opening for play in accordance with Governor Walz’s Executive Order 20-38. Special procedures have been established to limit contact and minimize touch points throughout the courses. Golfers are encouraged to prepay by booking their tee times online. Credit card payments will also be taken over the phone for golf and carts. Most clubhouses will be open for restroom access only.

Update on beach and waterpark season
Battle Creek Waterworks in Maplewood will be closed throughout the summer 2020 season to help slow the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of the community. Following current social distancing guidelines, the county’s swimming beaches will also remain closed and lifeguards will not be on duty at the six guarded locations. Parks & Recreation and Public Health will continue to monitor guidelines and best practices to determine if and when any beaches may reopen.

Guidance for wearing cloth face coverings in public settings
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies). The CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.

2020 Census assistance from Ramsey County libraries
Library staff are providing 2020 Census assistance over the phone and via email, even while library buildings are closed to the public. Over the phone assistance in English is available by calling 651-724-6100. The Census Bureau provides an option to complete the form over the phone in several languages.
