Calling all pharmacists

Are you a pharmacist? Over the past five years, the number of pharmacists providing flu shots has skyrocketed. We now know that pharmacists will be working on the front lines of pandemic health response.

Ramsey County is working hard alongside our colleagues at the Minnesota Department of Health to support pharmacy inclusion in our emergency planning. Part of this work involves developing a subgroup of MRC volunteers who self-identify as pharmacists or pharmacy technicians. This group will receive targeted information and training based on their affiliation. If you would like to join us, email me at laura.andersen@co.ramsey.mn.us or update your profile to include pharmacy affiliation.

MN Responds December drill: did you respond?

On December 14, you received a notification (by phone, text, and/or email) from the MN Responds system. During the drill, we assessed your desired level of participation with the Ramsey County MRC. We heard from about half our volunteers so we will continue to send out similar notifications to non-respondents in January and February.

This is a great time to login to mnresponds.com and make sure your profile contains up-to-date information. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me directly. With all best wishes for the new year,

Laura Andersen
