About this workshop:
If you are a practitioner with stormwater BMP practices responsibilities including inspection, maintenance or supervise such activities, this hands-on two-day workshop is for you. Using real-life case studies, hands-on field and class room exercises, we will help you learn the fundamentals of operation, how to assess the effectiveness of current practices by using visual inspection forms and to create and execute a maintenance work plan. In addition, this nationally recognized course will provide those who pass a voluntary exam with certification in Stormwater Management Practice Inspection and Maintenance.

Our workshop was just selected as the 2019 ASCE-EWRI Conference short course! Offering folks across the country (and other countries) who will be attending the conference to learn about all the good things that you are doing in Minnesota. So thank you for your support.
Workshop Goals and Learning Objectives:
- to define, classify and explain the fundamental forms and functions of stormwater practices and their related maintenance needs.
- to identify, apply and analyze stormwater practices using visual inspection forms to define and implement a preliminary Stormwater Practices Maintenance
- enhance knowledge of the importance of stormwater practice maintenance communication with stakeholders, learn about resources available.

Become a certified stormwater practices maintenance professional.
Who Should Attend?
Parks & public works staff; Consultants (designers/engineers); Private contractors; Stormwater managers; Private land owners and property managers-HOA; BMP project designers; and anyone with stormwater maintenance responsibilities.
This year U is also offering a new 1-day workshop (MR4701 BMP Operations and Maintenance Plans) with a focus on how to create and customize plans for specific site and projects. That is a different workshop covering other aspects of maintenance with different speakers and content and is classroom base with no outdoor activities.
