Minnesota GreenCorps is an environmentally focused AmeriCorps program coordinated by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency that plans to place 42 members with organizations around the state in the 2018-2019 program year. Members serve full-time for 11-months addressing critical environmental issuesand building community resilience, while developing skills and gaining professional experience.
Minnesota GreenCorps
members serve in one of the four focus areas:

Pollutant Reduction
Community
Readiness & Outreach
Green
Infrastructure Improvements
Waste
Reduction, Recycling, and Organics Management
Member activities may
include: benchmarking and analyzing data, collaborating with community partners,
delivering environmental training and education, mobilizing volunteers, and implementing
best practices to improve water and air quality and prevent, reduce, and divert
waste.
When and where will you serve?
Members
serve full-time (40 hours per week) for the 11-month term at the host site organization, anticipated start date of September
26, 2018 through late August, 2019.

What are the benefits?
Members receive a living stipend of up to $1,428
per month, are eligible for health insurance and loan forbearance, and earn an
education award of $5,920 after the successful completion of the AmeriCorps
term, which may be used for future education or to repay qualified student loans. During the service term, members receive
training, develop job skills, gain professional experience, and network
with environmental professionals.
