MPRB Seeks to Improve Minneapolis Golf Courses
We are working with Colorado-based golf consulting firm, Golf Convergence, to evaluate how our seven courses can improve customer service, keep up with diverse recreational tastes, manage course conditions, create operational efficiencies and make golf more appealing to a wider audience. Ideas may range from improvements to grounds and buildings to changes in the fee structure.
In addition to taking recommendations from Golf Convergence on how we can improve our golf courses, we will also be reaching out for your input on how we can make your golf experience more enjoyable. Whether it's a big picture idea or a tiny detail, we'll be sure to consider all of your suggestions. We'll be sending out our survey in September as well as dates/times for our Community Engagement meetings, so keep your eyes open for those!

First Tee Family Tees & Weekend Specials
Play the new First Tee Family Tees at any of our five 18-hole golf courses. Mom and dad can tee off from the regular tees while juniors ages 17 and younger can play a shorter hole within the regulation hole. After 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays, juniors 17 and under play free with each paid adult. Additional juniors playing with mom and dad pay only the First Tee rate of $10. It doesn't get much better than that – so bring the entire family out!
Got Some Extra Time at the Tee Boxes?
Poison
If you ever find yourself behind a slow moving group at the course, try playing a quick game of "Poison" with your golfing party. The purpose of the game, using your golf ball, is to hit each tee box marker and then each competitor's golf ball.
- Get your group members to drop their golf balls by one tee box marker
- The first player hits their golf ball with whatever club they are using to tee off with aiming at the far tee box marker
- Each player takes turns sequentially trying to hit the far tee box marker
- A player gets to shoot again if they hit their target
- Once you reach the far tee box, you then try to hit the opposing tee box. Once someone makes it back to the other side they can attempt to hit the other players' golf balls. If your ball is hit, you are out. This continues until one player remains. They are the winner.
