Cross-Country Ski Trails Now Open at Theodore Wirth Park

Cross-Country Ski Trails Now Open at Theodore Wirth Park

With the recent snowfall of more than 10 inches, 25 kilometers of cross-country ski trails are now open and groomed at Theodore Wirth Park. Trails at other ski areas within Minneapolis parks are slated for grooming this week.

At the Wirth Winter Recreation Area, trails wind through the park’s picturesque golf course, gardens and quaking bog. Wirth features a 2.5 kilometer man-made snow loop, lighted from 5 to 10 p.m. nightly. Preparations continue for the Wirth Winter Recreation Area's tubing and snowboarding hills at this time.

Get out and ski the trails – purchase a daily or season ski pass online or at the Wirth Chalet.
