Play pickleball at the park! Minneapolis Parks host leagues, lessons and clinics this summer
 New Pickleball courts next to Lake Nokomis Community Center
Multiple levels of competition available - whether you want to learn the game, grow your skills, play for fun, or compete at higher levels
Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Adult Sports offers a broad range of organized outdoor pickleball this summer!
One-time clinics, four-week lessons, and nine-week leagues are available across all skill levels. Check out the list below and sign up soon! Registration closes on Memorial Day.

Beginner: Little to no pickleball experience, are learning basic strokes and beginning to rally and working on serving and volleying (Skill Level 1-1.5)

Beginner Plus: Teams that have played in the beginner league or have played socially, looking to build on skills and gain comfort on the court before advancing to intermediate (Skill Level 2-2.5)

Intermediate: Teams that know the basic strokes and are working on improving consistency in ball tracking, court movement, and strokes; ready for introductory social match play (Skill Level 2.5-3)

Advanced: Teams working on stroke consistency and accuracy, while building on aggressive net play, court coverage, and match strategy; ready for organized competitive play (Skill Level 3+)
Please complete one registration per team, no individual registration. $100 per team.

Intro to Pickleball
For those new to the game of pickleball. Participants will learn the basics of the game and develop skills to advance their pickleball game.
Intro to Pickleball 2
For those who have completed Into to Pickleball or are already familiar with the game. Participants will focus on drills, strategy and games intended on improving your pickleball game.
NEW: Drill & Play
For players with prior pickleball experience who have a working knowledge of fundamental strokes (dinks, volleys, drives, drops, and serves) and can confidently keep score in both doubles and singles play. Each session will include skill-specific drills focused on technique, consistency, and shot selection, followed by organized match play scenarios to apply tactics in real time.
All lessons are four weeks, two hours per week. $100 per person.

Coached While You Play
Want to take your game to the next level? Join this fast-paced two-hour session and get real-time coaching during live gameplay from PCI Certified Instructor Will. Play live games while receiving on-the-spot tips to improve shot selection, positioning, strategy, and teamwork. Great for elevating your skills through experience, feedback, and in-the-moment adjustments.
Drill & Play
This focused two-hour clinic is designed for players with prior pickleball experience who are ready to elevate their game through improved technique and smarter strategy. The session will emphasize refining mechanics for greater consistency and control, with targeted drills to sharpen each key shot. We'll also dive into strategic decision-making—when to drive vs. drop, how to set up points, and smart positioning - followed by guided match play to apply these concepts in game-like scenarios.
Each session is broken up by skill level - 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0.These are one-time events for two hours, $40 per person.
