The 2012 Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) Annual Patron Parking Permit is available Jan. 1. The parking permit gives the permit-holder year-round parking privileges at specially designated parking spaces at some of the park system’s most popular regional parks including Calhoun, Harriet, Nokomis and Cedar lakes, Minnehaha Park, West River Parkway and the garden areas at Theodore Wirth Park.
Patron Parking Permits are good for 12 months from the date of purchase, and can be purchased online at www.minneapolisparks.org. Permits can be purchased in person at MPRB headquarters, the Theodore Wirth Chalet and Par 3 Clubhouse and Lake Nokomis and Lyndale Farmstead recreation centers. In addition to the convenience of designated parking, purchasing a Patron Parking Permit is an opportunity to show support for MPRB’s programs and facilities. The 2012 edition features a spectacular close up photo of a sunflower taken by Katie David, one of several youth winners in the 2011 Picture a Park Photo Contest.
