Whenever Amy Grimm takes prospective students on tour, she always shows them the Central Corridor light rail transit station and proclaims, “The College of St. Scholastica is the only private college in Minnesota that close to the light rail.”
Located at 340 Cedar Street only a few steps from Central Station, Grimm sees light rail as a potential marketing differentiator for the St. Paul college campus she manages. “The downtown campus caters to working adults who want to earn their bachelor’s or master’s degree while they continue to work. We offer accelerated on-campus and online classes in business and technology, education, health sciences and nursing that fit your busy schedule,” said Grimm. Most classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings. On Friday night and Saturday morning, it offers an 18-month graduate teaching licensure program.
