Downtown Saint Paul Central Corridor LRT Construction Update for May 19-25, 2012

• Construction work on the Cedar Street bridge over 35E/I-94 will occur the weekend of May 18, 19, 20, & 21, which will result in the closure of the 35E/I-94 commons area.
  
• On May 18, I-94 WB / I-35E SB will close at 8 p.m. and I-94EB will close at 10 p.m., reopening at 5 a.m. on May 21.  Ramp closures will occur one hour before. 
  
• I-35E will be closed between 11th Street and the 10th / Wacouta exits
  
• I-94 will be closed between the 5th/10th Street exits and the 12th Street exits
  
• West and east sidewalks closed on the Cedar Street bridge during the closure; cross at Wabasha Street bridge and Robert Street bridge .

• Cedar between Fifth and Fourth scheduled to close to thru traffic on May 21; local access maintained via Fourth Street. –NEW
  
• Fourth and Minnesota scheduled to close to thru traffic at the end of May for up to four weeks. Bus stop relocation details provided in upcoming construction updates.

• Cedar between Fifth and Four closed to thru traffic on May 21; local access maintained. –NEW
• Cedar Street scheduled closed to thru traffic between 12th Street and Old Columbus.
• 12th Street between Minnesota and just west of Cedar reduced to one lane westbound; watch for lane shifts.
• Minnesota Street bridge reduced to one lane over I-94; watch for lane shifts.
• Tenth Street closed to vehicular traffic at Cedar; local access maintained; use 11th and Seventh to cross Cedar.
• Cedar Street closed to vehicular traffic between 12th Street and Seventh Street.
• Cedar closed to thru traffic between Seventh and Fifth; local access maintained.
• Lanes of traffic restricted on Seventh Street at Cedar; watch for lane shifts.
• Fifth Street at Cedar reduced to two lanes of traffic; watch for lane shifts.

• All bus stops on Cedar closed between Tenth and Kellogg.
  
• Routes 67 and 75 moved from Cedar to St. Peter.

Closure of I-94/35E Commons for the Central Corridor Light Rail Construction - May 18, 19, 20 & 21, 2012

• Access into downtown St. Paul from EB I-94 can be made from 5th / 10th Street exits

• Access to EB I-94 and NB 35E can be made from downtown St. Paul on 11th Street
  
• Access to WB I-94 can be made from downtown St. Paul on 6th Street and from 12th Street
  
• Access to SB 35E can be made from Kellogg Blvd 
  

Please don’t go around barriers into construction zones. Construction hours will generally be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, but City Ordinance allows crews to work from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.  Schedules are subject to changes due to weather and other unforeseen
