 We have updated our construction map for the METRO E Line. You can find it at the top of our project web page.
Dates are approximate and subject to change. There will be no work on May 26 in observance of Memorial Day. As the construction season continues, crews may begin Saturday work at specific locations to maintain the overall project schedule. Future newsletter updates will include details where known.
Week of June 9:
- Crews will construct sidewalk and roadway surfaces.

- Crews will construct sidewalks.
- Crews will work on underground utilities.

- This work includes the use of heavy machinery, and impacts such as vibrations, loud noise, and dust and debris are to be expected.

- The below detour will go into effect.

Following the completion of civil construction, work is focused on installation of lighting and E Line platform amenities. We will update this section when we have timelines for this work.
Note: The City of Edina is currently constructing sidewalks along the east side of France Avenue between 60th and 62nd streets. This is not METRO E Line work. To learn more about this project or if you have a concern, please reach out to Chad Millner at the City of Edina.
Following the completion of civil construction, work will be focused on installation of E Line platform amenities. We will update this section when we have timelines for this work.
Note: The City of Edina is currently reconstructing 65th Street east of Drew Avenue. This is not METRO E Line work. To learn more about this project or if you have a concern, please see the City’s project website.
- Access to Southdale Hospital and Southdale Medical Center parking lots and garages will be maintained during construction.
- France Avenue can be accessed from the Hospital and Medical Center by taking Drew Avenue to 66th Street.
