Newly installed B Line shelters at Selby & Dale
METRO B Line shelter installations continue
Over the next two weeks, shelter installations will occur at Marshall & Otis, Lake & 44th, and Lake & 36th
-
Shelter installations require the use of a small crane in the sidewalk/parking area and are usually completed within one working day. No road closures are needed.
-
Crews will be on site to detour traffic or pedestrians for any temporary impacts to sidewalks or travel lanes
-
Shelter installations are not as loud as other forms of construction activities, but may have sounds of drilling, crews communicating, and large vehicle noises
-
Shelters will not be available for customer use immediately upon installation and will be fenced off. Crews will need to complete several tasks to ensure shelters are safe and ready for regular route service. Shelters are expected to be available for customer use later this year.
