Construction at these intersections began May 15. Expect the following activities:
Marshall & Cleveland
Construction at this intersection will include new station platforms and partial street reconstruction featuring new street, sidewalk, and pedestrian ramps.
Construction activities will first include street and sidewalk work, then transition to installation of station features. The intersection will be open to four-way traffic, with lane restrictions along Marshall Avenue.

Pavement work began on the northwest corner of the intersection and is anticipated to continue into mid-June. Crews completed concrete removals and prepared the site to pour concrete for the curb and gutter, and bus pads, as well as started electrical work.

Pavement and electrical work is expected to transition to the southeast corner the intersection the week of June 12.

All pavement work is anticipated to be completed in mid-July.
The installation of shelters, pylons, and other station features will follow shortly thereafter at both the north and south sections of the intersection, with all major work scheduled to be complete by late August.

Traffic and transit detours are routed to Marshall Avenue between Hamline Avenue and Victoria Street. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses between Hamline and Victoria along Selby Avenue.

Traffic will be detoured to Selby Avenue, Dale Avenue, Concordia Avenue, and St. Anthony Avenue due to concurrent construction on the John Ireland Bridge. Please follow all detour signage.

Construction work on Lake Street between Minnehaha Avenue and the Mississippi River is currently scheduled to begin the week of June 5 and move from east to west along Lake Street. This includes station construction at Lake & Minnehaha, Lake & 31st Avenue, Lake & 36th Avenue, and Lake & 44th Avenue.

Work will begin first on the northern half of the street and will move east to west starting at Lake Street & Mississippi River Boulevard. Two-way traffic will be maintained along Lake Street and will move to the south side of the intersection, with lane restrictions in place.

Construction at station locations includes partial street reconstruction, new station platforms, new street, new sidewalk, new traffic signals, and new pedestrian ramps.

Construction at non-station intersections will include curb ramp work, new sidewalk, roadway improvements, and signal improvements. Later this summer, construction will include a mill and overlay as well as lane restriping.

Sidewalks will remain open on at least one side of the street and pedestrian access will be maintained to homes and businesses.

Construction work on several additional St. Paul stations will begin in mid-June and into July, including Marshall & Otis, Marshall & Cretin, Selby & Dale, and Selby & Arundel.
Transit detours will be in place until late August. These detours include:

Route 21 buses are detoured off Selby Avenue onto Marshall Avenue between Hamline Avenue and John Ireland Boulevard.

Stops in both directions are closed at Marshall Avenue & Cleveland Avenue and at Marshall Avenue & Fairview Avenue. Please use either of the nearest stops to the east or west of these intersections
